Jeff Goldblum is getting his own documentary series to investigate really mundane things

Would you watch him talk about the history of toilet roll for 30 minutes?

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC HAVE decided to give Jeff Goldblum his very own documentary series. At the moment, it has a working title – The Curiosity of Jeff Goldblum.

Goldblum says that the television network “has a knack for developing smart, immersive narratives that expand our understanding of the world around us in creative and entertaining ways”, so he wants in on it because “Curiosity is a fundamental human trait.”

According to Deadline, each 30-minute episode of the series will follow Jeff Goldblum as he guides viewers through the extraordinary in very ordinary products like toilet paper, ice cream, balloons, coffee and cereal.

The actor wants to show people how, why and when seemingly mundane objects were created and the massive impact they have on our everyday lives.

To be honest, it sounds like it could potentially be a windup to see how far his charm can get him, but it’s genuinely going to happen. National Geographic added:

It’s a fascinating universe out there, and Goldblum takes us on his unconventional ride, tackling experiments, busting myths and encountering scientific experts to reveal the astounding science that lies right beneath our eyes.
